This release addresses a total of 51 security vulnerabilities. Among these, 2 have been classified as "Critical," 48 as "High," and 1 as having a "Moderate" CVE rating. Additionally, the update incorporates 5 security fixes that were previously included in past monthly patches. Moreover, there are 4 security enhancements included that aren't applicable to Samsung devices. Alongside the Google security patch, the August 2023 security update also covers Samsung Vulnerability Items (SVE), bolstering the confidence of customers in the security of Samsung Mobile devices.Following the initial deployment of the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung intends to progressively extend the availability of the August 2023 security update to other eligible Samsung devices.
